GT Popping
The most popular trip we run from Conrad. The reef edges around Rangali hold serious Giant Trevally. We're talking 20kg+ fish smashing surface poppers in crystal clear water. If you've never experienced it, it's the most exciting fishing you'll ever do. We also hook into Bluefin Trevally, Golden Trevally, and the occasional Dogtooth on the reef.
Big Game Trolling
Picks up from December through April when the northeast monsoon pushes baitfish into the channel. Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi all show up. We troll the deep water beyond the atoll edge. If you want a shot at a Sailfish, this is the trip.
Deep Jigging
For the serious anglers. We drop heavy jigs down to 100 meters on the steep drop-offs south of Rangali. Dogtooth Tuna, Ruby Snapper, Brilliant Pomfret. These fish fight harder than anything you've caught before. Not for beginners, but if you know what you're doing, this is the session.
Night Fishing
The one families love. We head out after sunset, anchor over the reef, and drop lines for Red Snapper, Grouper, and Emperor. It's relaxed, the kids can do it, and the crew prepares sashimi from whatever you catch. A lot of Conrad guests book this for their first evening to ease into the trip.

When to Fish from Conrad
December to April (NE monsoon): Peak season. Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo. Calmer seas, better visibility. If you're planning a big game trip, book these months.
May to November (SW monsoon): GT popping is actually better during this season. The rougher water pushes baitfish onto the reef edges and the GTs go into a feeding frenzy. Deep jigging is productive year round.
Night fishing works every month of the year.
What to Bring
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a light long sleeve shirt. We provide everything else. Rods, reels, lures, poppers, jigs, terminal tackle, drinks, and snacks. Just show up.
Combo Trips
A lot of Conrad guests split their time. Morning fishing, afternoon on a sandbank. Or a full day GT popping followed by night fishing the same evening. We can build a custom itinerary if you're staying multiple days. Multi-day trips get a reduced daily rate.
