South Ari Atoll is one of the best spearfishing destinations in the Indian Ocean. The visibility is exceptional - 25 to 40 metres on most days. The reef structure is world class, with steep drop-offs, channels, and coral formations that hold serious pelagic and reef species.

We run guided spearfishing charters from Maamigili with direct pickup from your resort. A safety guide is always in the water with you - whether you're a beginner on your first dive or an experienced spearo hunting dogtooth on the deep drop-offs.

Depths range from 5 metres on the shallow reef flats to 25 metres on the outer edges. Our guide matches the spots to your experience level and what you want to target.

Safety first: A qualified safety guide is always in the water with you throughout the entire session. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, you're never diving alone.

Peak: December - April (NE monsoon). Calmer seas, best visibility, ideal conditions for spearfishing the outer reefs and drop-offs. Good: May - November. More current brings more baitfish and predators to the reef edges. GT and dogtooth are aggressive feeders in this season.
